I think foreigners would enjoy trivia about things, especially about sake (alcohol). I had the opportunity to serve foreigners Hakkaisan unrefined sake, and it was a real challenge to explain the background of different kinds of sake all in English. This is a good idea that carries the potential of spreading understanding of Japanese sake throughout the world.

All foreign tourists are bound to wonder what their name would look like when written in kanji characters. I think this app could be very popular. If we develop further how to work in information about tourist spots, this idea creation will be complete.

I think foreigners would be very interested in origami (folding paper). We can envision everyday use of this outside of traveling. This idea creation would take shape if we figure how to link it to souvenirs. This is very clever concept.

Kairo (pocket/hand warmers) are very unique and particular to Japan. To transform a smartphone case into a kairo seems obvious, yet would not come to mind easily. This is a fantastic idea. People often carry their smartphones in their pockets, so I could easily picture someone putting their hand in their pocket to warm it. I think this product would be very popular.

自分の食べたものが食品サンプルにしてお土産として持ち帰れるなんて、

Plastic food samples themselves are very unique and particular to Japan. If visitors could take home plastic food samples of what they ate, that would be a very thoughtful souvenir that they would love. This is sure to be popular. I could easily picture them displaying it at home or the office and bragging to others :)
