「自転車社会を飛躍させるアイデア」を考えて下さい。How could we dramatically advance our bicycle society?

信号さえなければ、電動アシスト自転車は自動車に遜色のない移動パフォーマンスを発揮するでしょう。
首都高だけではなく東名高速などの下にもこれを設けて、インターチェンジ以外の場所でもエレベーターで下に降りられたりすると大変便利。
高速道路の下に自転車専用レーンが出来るなら、上の道路が屋根の役割を果たして雨に濡れないというメリットもありそうです。

If there were no traffic signals, I think electric power-assisted bicycles would show transportation performance that is on par with cars.
If this were built under the Metropolitan Expressway and other highways such as the Tomei expressway, and elevators at interchanges plus other locations, it would be very convenient. If bicycle-only lanes were created under highways, the roads above would serve as a roof to protect against rain, so that may be another benefit.

人口減少を生かしたゆとりサービス。
電車に気楽に自転車が乗り入れられれば、自転車の行動範囲は飛躍的に広がるでしょう。
遠距離電車も新幹線も、山手線やベッドタウンに伸びる私鉄などにも設けてほしい。
このサービスを実施した路線は、沿線の価値が上がるかもしれません。駅にも自転車用のスロープやETCが欲しいところ。

This is a service that would take advantage of space opened by a declining population.
If we could easily take bicycles onto trains, the range of activity for bicycles would expand significantly.
I would like to see this on long-distance trains and bullet trains, as well as on the Yamanote line and private railways that stretch to bedroom suburbs.
Train lines that implement this service may increase their value. Having bicycle slopes and ETC for stations would also be nice.

自転車で通勤すれば電車代も浮くわけですから、その分を通勤手当としていただけるなら自転車通勤のモチベーションになりますね。
終電以降の帰宅についてはタクシー代に相当する深夜通勤手当が加算されるとか。

Commuting by bicycle would save on train fees, so if an employee can receive a commuting allowance for this, he/she would be motivated to commute by bicycle. Another thought is to tack on a late night commuting allowance that would be equal to the cost of taking a taxi to get home after the final train.

「次の信号を左に曲がります」とか「８００カロリーです」などと、ブルトゥースのヘッドセットでサービスが受けられるわけですね。
音楽を聴きながらや、スポット的に受信される街角情報など情報のレイヤーをいく層も重ねて楽しめる仕組みなどあれば充実しそうです。

This would be a service to hear something like "Turn left at the next signal" or "This distance is 800 calories" via a Bluetooth headset. If the information structure were even more layered, such as being able to listen to music and having town information received at certain spots, it could be quite enhanced.

国立公園や国定公園など、大規模な公園をぜひこうしてほしいです。
日本には無数の島々もあります。たとえば、瀬戸内国際芸術祭の島々などを、電動アシスト自転車やセグウェイ、ウィングレットなどが走れる「パーソナルモバイルの走行可能特区」にする。
実に気持ちのいい走行シーンが生まれてきそうです。これを認可、提案、承認できる立場の方々、いかがですか。

I would love to see this in large parks, such as national parks and quasi-national parks. We have many islands in Japan. For example, maybe we could create zones on islands like the Setouchi International Art Festival islands where personal mobility devices such as electric power-assisted bicycles, Segways, Winglets could be driven.
This would create driving zones that feel really great. People who are in positions to permit, propose, or approve this: what do you think?

自動車と同じく、真剣に日本の自動車メーカーが自転車を作ったら、これまでとは異なるポイントに高性能が発揮されそうです。
冬の走行時にサドルやハンドルが暖かいとか、走行距離でマイレージサービスが受けられるとか、ペダルこぎシフト時に充電されるハイブリッド車とか、ナビやETCのデータが共有できるとか。
海外のクルマメーカーは既にやっているそうです。

If Japan's automakers made bicycles as seriously as they develop cars, high performance may be achieved in elements different from before. For example, saddles and handles that are warm while riding in the winter, mileage service according to distances rode, hybrid vehicles that can be recharged in the pedal shift, or shared navigation/ETC data. Car makers abroad apparently have already started doing this.

ゴルフバッグを届けるように、自転車を日本全国どこにでも高速配送するサービスですね。
旅する時は宿泊するホテルにマイ自転車を届けてもらえる。沖縄も、奥の細道も、北海道も、マイ自転車で走り回ることが出来れば安心・快適です。

This is a high-speed service to deliver a bicycle anywhere in Japan, as they do with golf bags. You would be able to have your bicycle delivered to your hotel when traveling. Being able to ride your own bicycle in Okinawa, the Deep North, or Hokkaido would feel assuring and comfortable.

これにはぐっときました。これまでの街区や都市計画はスクエアに設計され、十文字に交差点を作ってきました。
四角い区画ではなく、曲線的なカーブや直線、そしてゆるやかな坂道で構成された螺旋状の立体交差の積層がおりなす都市景観。実に未来的な街がまぶたの裏に浮かびます。

This resonated with me. City blocks and urban plans have always been designed in squares, and we have created intersections in cross shapes. Instead of square-shaped sections, this would be a townscape with sweeping curves, straight lines, and gentle sloping roads to configure spiral overpass layers. I could just picture this futuristic town in my head.
